Inverto Premium Quad LNB 0.2dB Low Noise Hotbird Sky Freesat
LNB means low noise block, this device receives the transmission from the satellite. Your satellite dish focuses the transmission from the satellite to the cap on the end of the LNB. Inside the LNB the high frequencies are reduced in frequency and amplified so that your satellite receiver can understand the transmission.
Failure of the LNB is quite common as it leads a hard life outside in the British weather. Cooling, heating, and water ingress can all lead to failure. There are a few signs of failure which include, no satellite signal present message on your tv screen, intermittent no satellite signal present message and failure to receive some channels completely. It is important however to understand that a poorly aligned satellite dish can also cause these symptoms. Check your dish has not moved. Also check for obstructions in front of your dish, eg a tree.
This high grade premium universal LNB is a conventional type with a 40mm diameter neck for direct mounting onto a dish with a 40mm clamp. It may be used to replace a single or a twin LNB to allow extra receivers to be connected. This LNB sports an impressive low noise figure of 0.2dB and is particularly suitable for the reception of Sky TV, Freesat and other broadcasts outside the normal foot print of the satellite. This is of course can only be done with a suitable size of dish. You may use this LNB with our Sky satellite dishes if you also purchase the 40mm LNB clamp as shown in the
LNB's section in our shop. The specification of this LNB is superior to the Sky supplied quad type. Use of this LNB is more desirable if you wish to receive transmissions other than Sky or Freesat as the 40mm mount allows infinite adjustment of the skew or polarisation. This is the twist adjustment of the LNB. Use of a Sky LNB in areas outside the UK can be problematic as the skew is only finely adjustable using the 5 position ratchet arrangement fitted.

A quad LNB is suitable as a replacement for a single or a dual LNB if you wish to add extra satellite receivers to your installation. A typical example would be the installation of a Sky Plus box which requires two of the outputs. This LNB will supply 2 Sky Plus boxes or 4 single input receivers such as Free to Air receivers or Freesat receivers. This LNB is also perfect for use with Freesat HD satellite receivers and for reception of other satellite services from Hotbird, Eurobird astra etc. It is quite permissible to only use the outputs you require and leave spares for future expansion.
