Sometimes the packaging will show shelf wear but all lamps are checked for filament continuity before shipping.
99% of all lamps are shipped in the factory box but occasionally we receive them in institutional bulk packaging and re-box them for resale.
With all lamps, we highly recommend that you wipe the glass surfaces with an alcohol dampened lint free cloth after installation to remove all fingerprints and any other residue.
