You are bidding on this salesman’s leather briefcase that was used to recognize the current leader of the “Traveling Men’s Auxiliary” group of the North Carolina Pharmaceutical Association. This group was organized in 1914 and this briefcase has the gilt-printed names of every chairman/president(?) from 1914 to 1986. It seems they ran out of room, so this was probably “retired” and a new briefcase prepared – as this one was in 1959. I’m guessing this was a group that represented the drug salesmen who sold to the druggists in NC? The briefcase was made by Lifton and is the Ironbound model. Very good collectible condition – a small portion of the zipper has separated, minor age, usage or storage wear. No reserve for this medical advertising, pharmaceutical, drug store, North Carolina retail business collectible. This item came from the NC Pharmacist Association archives.
