With these tyres fitted you can have the best of both worlds, with them having a raised centre ridge they are fast on the road, but have enough tread on them if you want to take them down bridleways, canal paths or dirt tracks. The raised centre ridge keeps the rolling resistance low when on tarmac, paving or hard ground, but when you get off-road there is more than enough "bite" as the rest off the tread gets stuck into the dirt.
