DESCRIPTION

This is a gorgeous vintage winter coat from the 1950s that was made in the USA, and it's in a rare plus size!  The coat is made out of a black wool that has a soft, fuzzy texture, and it is fully lined in black satin.  The collar and front edges of the coat are trimmed in real fur.  I believe the fur is squirrel fur.  It has a soft, slightly fluffy feel to it.  The coat has two side pockets, and it has a flared swing cut.  It closes with a hidden hook and eye closure.  There is also a hook and eye closure near the throat, so you can wear the collar up high or more open.

SIZING

There are no size tags on this coat, but I believe it would best fit a size XXL.  The actual measurements are as follows:

Bust: 26 inches across, underarm to underarm (52 inches around)
Shoulders: 18 inches across, seam to seam
Waist:  27 inches across (54 inches around)
Hips: 30 inches across (60 inches around)
Length: 34.5 inches down the center of the back, starting from the base of the collar

Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.

CONDITION

This coat is in very good vintage condition.  I did notice that the wool has a slightly fuzzy quality.  This may be a minor sign of wear, although it is uniform throughout the coat, so it also may just be the nature of the fabric.  I wanted to mention it for the sake of full disclosure. I also notice that the fur is just a little worn along the edges of the collar, but this really shouldn't be noticeable when the coat is worn!

BY PURCHASING, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING STORE POLICIES

Payment:

I accept payment through Paypal, and payment must be made at the time of purchase. If you need more time, please contact me before you make your purchase.  If I have not received payment within 2 days of purchase, I reserve the right to relist the item or offer it to the next highest bidder.

Returns:

All items are sold AS IS, and returns are not accepted. The items in my shop are used and may show minor signs of wear, but I will do my best to describe any flaws that I find. If you have concerns about the fit of an item, please feel free to ask me any questions before you make your purchase!

Shipping:

I go to the post office every week day, Monday - Friday.  I typically ship items out one business day after I've received payment, so if I receive payment on Friday, your item will go in the mail Monday (although if I receive payment early enough, I might get it in the mail the same day).  If you pay with an e-check, I will wait for the payment to clear before shipping your item.  I may occasionally take a few extra days to ship an item if I am out of town, especially if it is around a major holiday.  If you need an item to be shipped right away, just let me know and I will do my best to get it out to you as soon as possible!  I do offer Express Mail shipping for those of you who need rush shipping.

Items sent First Class are shipped in a heavy duty polyvinyl mailer.  Items sent Priority Mail are sent in either a tyvek mailer or a box depending on the size of the item.  You may always request that an item be shipped in a box, but the shipping cost may go up slightly.

I am also happy to offer a combined shipping discount if you purchase more than one item.  If you would like to purchase multiple items, please use the “Add to Cart” option on ebay.   Items must be paid for at the same time to be eligible for a shipping discount.  I include Delivery Confirmation for free on all US orders.

PLEASE NOTE: I will ship your item to the address listed on the Paypal payment, so please make sure that your address is up-to-date!

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I am happy to ship internationally, but please note that as the buyer, you are responsible for any taxes or duties your customs office might charge on packages coming from the USA.  Customs fees are not included in the cost of shipping.  ALSO NOTE:  While First Class Mail International is the cheaper shipping option, it is also less reliable.  I’ve had some customers get their packages in around a week, and for others, it has taken a month.  For your convenience, I also offer Priority Mail and Express Mail.  USPS gives a shipping estimate of 6-10 business days for Priority Mail International.  Business days do not include holidays and weekends, so the shipping time may be closer to 8-15 calendar days.  USPS gives a shipping estimate of 3-5 business days for Express Mail International.  Again, business days do not include holidays and weekends, so it could take 5-8 calendar days.  If you need a package by a certain date, I’d highly recommend Express Mail International.     Except for a select few countries, tracking is NOT available for First Class Mail International.  If you would like a TRACKING NUMBER for your package, you should select Priority Mail International or Priority Mail Express International as your shipping option.  If your country is eligible for ebay’s new Global Shipping Program, that shipping option also includes tracking.

Clothing Condition:

The large majority of the items in my store are vintage, and therefore pre-owned.  I do my best to only put items up for sale that are in very good to excellent vintage condition, and I will list any major flaws that I notice.  However, most vintage clothing has been around for several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric, the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear.  Vintage items may also have raw seams that have not been serged.  By purchasing, you are accepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect. However, if you feel I have overlooked a major flaw, please let me know!

I personally have a SMOKE FREE AND PET FREE HOME.  I won't sell a piece of clothing if I notice a smoke smell on it from a previous owner.  I have no way of knowing if the original owner of the clothing had pets, but I will use a lint roller to remove any fuzz or stray hair I notice.  Because most of what I sell is vintage, an item may have been in storage for quite a few years, so I always recommend you wash or dry clean your item before wearing it.

Feedback:

I value my customers and want them to have a positive experience in my store, so I leave positive feedback shortly after I've received payment.   If for some reason you have a problem, please CONTACT ME before leaving negative or neutral feedback, and I will do my best to help you with your concerns!
