The 860 set has both a "B" and "G" string made of clear monofilament nylon wound on multifilament nylon and a plain nylon "E" string. Thus, the 1st and 2nd strings produce a bright tone with more sustain than plain nylon. The 860 set has silver-plated wound basses.
