8-hole Scratchplate (3-ply) to fit most USA, Mexican Telecasters and Squier model Telecasters

In 1969, Fender changed the design of their scratchplates. Moving away from 5 fixing screw holes to 8. They'd come to realise that the original 5 holes weren't enough to keep the plate from lifting away from the body in certain areas.

Mounting holes for the neck pickup were also introduced, thus making pickup height adjustment much easier (previously the scratchplate would need to be removed to do this)

We've modelled our 8-hole scratchplates on this more modern design but with a wider variety of colours and a choice of single or 3-ply.

Specification

1-ply scratchplate: 2.0mm thick

3-ply Scratchplate: 2.4mm Thick
