Welcome to our very special auction in where you can build your own Dreamcast machine, this auction will consist of many variation on the upgrades you can choose to have done to the Sega Dreamcast console that's pictured, as these upgrades are tailor made to your needs please allow 2 working days before we ship/build your machine and test it correctly expect Pre-Order upgrades which will take longer, below are the specifications of the different variations you can choose from and short explanation of what they can do for you.
Sd:
This is a standard mod on where a sd card adapter will be routed through
the serial port and you are able to load dreamshell (Linux) software from the
Dreamcast with the dreamshell disk is also supplied there will be no memory
card included but only the adapter installed .
VGA:
A VGA expansion port will be installed at the back of the console so
that the console can output a higher and crisper video resolution for the
games, a toggle switch will be installed to move between VGA mode and standard
AV mode as not all Dreamcast games support VGA video, 3.5mm audio output socket
will also be installed when used in conjunction with VGA to output sound as the
VGA socket doesn't carry sound, the switch and audio output will be installed
on the side of the console, if you chose to go with this option please note
that the RGB/scart cable will not function correctly and will show a rendered
image on your screen so we recommend that you use a composite cable (RCA) as
the higher resolution 640x480 is purely reserved for VGA.
IDE:
A IDE connection will be routed through the Gd-rom drive which will
allow you to connect a HDD of up to 2TB (tested) to run Linux dreamshell
software, this is a much faster transfer rate then the sd card and experience
none to very small lag when loading software/games, with this upgrade you can
run the HDD from the same console the dreamshell disk will be supplied the HDD
will be powered by the Dreamcast Console and NO further connections are required, you
will require to format the HDD as FAT32.
No HDD will be supplied pictures are for illustration purposes and the
way the end product will appear once you connect your HDD.

Pico PSU:
PICO PSU upgrade
option for the dreamcast allow 3-4 working days, a Pico psu upgrade will replace the internal power
board of the console and can output more power to run all the
upgrades at ultimate power efficiency and dramatically reduce the
internal heat of the system also the power brick (not included) can
function without any step down/up converters directly as it will support
100V-240V, this upgrade is highly recommended with an combination of a IDE
upgrade for best results and currently offered only with IDE Multi Region option due to Low stock levels, as this will replace the internal power supply you are required
to source a power brick with the minimum specification of 12V input and
5A-6A anything below these specification may not work correctly.

BIOS:
The Bios can be upgraded to a Multi Region Version which will then allow
you to Play games from any territory so Japanese (NTSC-J) American (NTSC-U) and
European (PAL) without the need of a swap disk, this will also have a very
different start-up logo and sound when you switch the dreamcast on which gives
it a more Bespoke feel, i have attached a video from YouTube of what this may
look and sound like, you can always opt in for the default BIOS at no cost,
please choose carefully as once the console is built we won’t be able to make
any amendments, if the standard option is selected you will only be able to
play games from the region the console is designed to.

Please be aware that this is a NTSC-J unit with a 220-240V power board console in regards for power outlets and Game region if you decided not to go ahead with the multi region BIOS, a step UP converter will be required to be used in regions of 100-120V power outlet if the Pico Psu is not selected, all consoles serial numbers are recorded and sealed to prevent fraud, once we ship the console we will Send you a picture with the serial numbers internally and externally, any returns of swapped internal parts will not be accepted and returned back to you, Once your console has been built to your specifications we are unable to alter or make changes, make sure you select the correct BUILD for your needs.
