Original Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon marked The Elkton Mine - Cripple Creek District.  Length 5-3/4 inches.  The mine was founded in 1891 by a blacksmith named William Shemwell.  The mine would yield 16 million dollars in gold and was active until 1956.  The image in the bowl - The Elkton Mine - Cripple Creek District.  The handle has a pack mule - pick - shovel - hoist and miner.
