Within this book is contained a world of darkness and peril; a place the brave may go but shall never return. Throughout these pages there winds a small, worn trail shrouded in shadows cast by savage Demons and titanic Juggernauts. To either slide of you lurk monsters and untold terrors; behind you, just out of sight, creeps something wicked. But ahead there is a glimmer of light. Perhaps it is a chest of gold or magick sword that gleams in your torchlight - or it might just be the eye of a beast in the moonlight.

This is the world of Deathstalkers'; a world of terror and suspense, adventure and legend. Come forth and adventure into realms of shadows and watchful eyes as any one of over 17 playable character races and 26 different character careers. Play anything from an Elf to a half-dead, Centaur to a Gnome. Choose adventurous careers such as the Vampire Slayer or Assassin, or take the warrior's route and be anything from a Shadow Cavalier to an Elemental Warrior.
Or, take the left-hand path into an even more dangerous and powerful career such as a Summoner or Wizard and learn or fling over 250 different spells. Cast anything from roaring fireballs to deadly clouds of doom; raise the dead or send them back to hell with the Grand Leveler.

But to survive in these deadly realms you'll need to fight. For the thunderous footfalls of the Juggernauts' march echoes in the night, and the Demons lurk silently in the darkness. You'll have to master Deathstalker's unique and highly suspenseful Strategic Combat System (SCS), which forces you to carefully decide your sword-swings. It's a powerful blend of strategy and luck that is both fast-paced an exciting.
But if calculated fighting moves aren't your style, then mindlessly slaughter your foes by delivering deadly Rage Attacks and Aggressive Assault Maneuvers. Equip your character with all manner of specialized combat attacks!
And you'll need them, for there are more than 65 different monsters and beasts lurking in the Monster Encyclopedia.

But you'll need more than combat skill, if you are to survive these grim and terrible lands. You'll have to learn skills and abilities to get out of dark dungeons, dark caves, haunted woods and abandoned cities. With over 150 skills to choose from you can learn anything from Creeping and Acrobatics to Monster-lore and Pyrotechnics.

But all the skills in the world can't get you out of a Demon's pit alone, so the Buyer's Guide has hundreds of items to help you in your travels. Prices are listed for everything from weapons and armor, to foods and beverages. Peruse the Tailor shop for clothing, or seek out a Blacksmith to get custom-made weapons and armor.
