TANKOGRAD 3014 M88 ARMORED RECOVERY VEHICLE
by Carl Schulze, oversize paperback, new copy.

The Recovery Vehicle, Full-Tracked, Medium, M88 ARV was introduced from 1960 and since then formes the backbone of heavy recovery operations within the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. Several attempts have been made to replace it, without any success yet. The M88 was modernized to the M88A1 and stays in service up till today with its most modern version, the M88A2 HERCULES heavy armoured recovery vehicle. This publication decribes the development history and variants of the M88 family, from the early days in U.S. service to modern day's Operation Iraqi Freedom, with comprehensive text and many hitherto unpublished photographs including detailed walkarounds. Added to the U.S. history is the use of the M88 and its variants in foreign armies.

Be assured, though I may not always have the lowest price, you will not get any cheap bookclub editions from me on ebay. I've been selling books for many many years and I can spot cheap bookclubs a mile away.  Hand me a book and I'll tell you straight off if it's a bookclub edition. Sometimes it can be hard for most booksellers to know if it's a bookclub, like university press books. They don't normally put the price on the jacket for the publisher's edition, but most of them do use full or partial cloth binding, whereas the bookclub edition will be simply cheap board covers. Though let's face it, most of the publisher's editions these days aren't all that great in quality either, the bookclubs are even worse!
