 Note that not all items will be needed to successfully rebuild your Walbro carburetor.

 If you are in doubt of items needed take care to disassemble carefully.

 And note the exact location of every gasket and diaphragm.

It may be wise to have a mobile phone camera or digital camera handy.

 That way you can take a picture of each stage of dismantling the carburetor. 

Some builders have been known to install these gaskets incorrectly. Surprisingly, the carburetor may still function.

 But not efficiently and certainly not with the power output the carburetor is capable of producing.

Just as a guide the Yamaha KT100S engine should have this kit replaced before each race day to keep the pumping efficiency and metering ability of the Walbro carby at its peak. The KT100J every 2-3 race meetings. However for top level competition both engines should have the carburetor thoroughly cleaned and re kitted each and every day of competition.

The use of a quality sonic cleaner is recommended for cleaning this carby. 

But if unavailable a pressure pack can of carburetor cleaner and compressed air is the best alternative.

Note that a Lever Height Gauge and a Pop Off Pressure Testing Unit are essential tools for efficient re-building of these carburetors.

Remember: Never ever use the filter screen supplied in this K10WB kit. The mesh is too fine for our kart engine use and can easily block during a race. The coarse filter originally supplied with the Walbro carburetors is the correct unit. It is also availabel through our business. Just email Dave with a request.
