Slag
Space combat for the common man.

Slag is a fast and simple space combat game that you can play anywhere, anytime. You don't need fancy maps, hordes of dice, decks of cards or reams of rules. All you really need is a sheet of paper for your fleet, a handful of spare change and a space the size of a checkerboard, or a plain old sheet of hex paper.

Slag is a wonderfully simple and elegant game. It takes the complex nature of ship construction and space combat and makes it as simple as possible while still keeping whatever realism we can manage. Many assumptions about the nature of this type of combat are abstracted into the rules without being explicitly stated.(role of fuel consumption, vector movement, three-dimensional combat, ship structure, etc.)
