The Toshiba Satellite P505D-S8007 laptop has an AMD Turion II processor, a massive 18.4″ LCD screen and Microsoft Windows 10 Pro.
The power for this big machine comes from the AMD Turion II (model M520) processor. The M520 is a 64-bit dual-core processor with each core operating at 2.3 GHz. It has 1MB of L2 cache and uses only 35W. The computer comes installed with 4GB of 800MHz DDR2 memory and can be expanded to a maximum of 8GB.
The screen is a 18.4” diagonal widescreen TruBrite® TFT LCD display at 1680 x 945 native resolution (HD+). It has a 16:9 aspect ratio and native support for 720p content. The screen is driven by the ATI® Radeon™ HD 4200 graphics engine with up to 1919 MB of dynamically allocated shared graphics memory. Shared memory means the system could slow down during graphically intensive applications (like games).
The hard drive installed is a 500GB Serial ATA (SATA) rotating at 5400RPM. The optical drive is a DVD SuperMulti drive with Labelflash® supporting 11 formats. The memory card reader supports Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO™, Multi Media Card [shared slot].
For networking you can use the integrated 10/100 Ethernet adapter by plugging a cable into the RJ-45 port. Or, you can use the Wi-Fi® Wireless networking (802.11b/g/n) for surfing at Starbucks. You can use that networking to video chat using the built-in webcam and microphone.
External ports include ExpressCard/34 and ExpressCard/54, 1 RGB monitor port, 1 microphone in, 1 headphone out, 4 USB v2.0 ports (3 USB + 1 eSATA/USB combo with USB Sleep and Charge) and a slot for a security lock.
The laptop comes installed with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and a freshly install of Microsoft Office Enterprise, which contains; Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher, etc., etc. Microsoft® Silverlight™, Internet Explorer and more.
The laptop measures 17.4″x11.6″x1.63″ and weighs 8.7 pounds. Definitely not something you want to carry around. The 6 cell (4000mAh) Lithium Ion battery pack can provide a measly 2 hours and 10 minutes of unplugged power. You’ll want to keep the 75W AC adapter around.
Laptop is preowned and it has been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro. Also a newly installed Microsoft Office Enterprise Suite. Now the bad; A small part of the corner of the bezel is broken, see picture No. 12. Also, the battery doesn't reach 100 % full charge, only about half of it. I do not have the original Toshiba charger, I don't know if this has something to do with it, I have a "replacement" charger, which, will be included in this auction. For the preceding issues, I am listing this Toshiba Satellite AS IS, BROKEN or FOR PARTS. Returns are NOT accepted.
