The Mysteries Of Montreal: Being Recollections Of A Female Physician. By Charlotte Fuhrer. Kessinger Publishing. Softcover. 133 pages. Measures 9 1/4" x 7 1/2".
Charlotte Führer emigrated from Germany to the United States
and then to Canada in 1859, where she practiced midwifery in Montreal for some

are the passages relating to the problem of illegitimacy.
