Description:

As found, purchased at an auction years ago, I think this is the cleanest plane I've ever had that wasn’t in a box, nearly all the factory finishes remain and are bright and shiny, gorgeous heartwood/sapwood figuring on both the rosewood knob and tote, no rust or pitting, the japanning has a few small paint slops and the nickel plating on the lever cap has a few little scuffs, the tote has a feathering of roughness on the tip of the horn, I’m pointing out really minor issues here because there is simply nothing else.  Basically no apologies, it would be hard to find a cleaner one.  The plane does not conform to the Roger Smith Type Study in the Walter book, I believe it's a transitional Type manufactured with an surplus stock older bed being used with the newer lever cap and iron.  I believe everything on this plane is original to it.   I can also disassemble the plane and ship it large flat rate for around $18.  I will be selling quite a few things like this from my own collection over the coming months, stay tuned.  What you see is what you get, please ask questions if you have them.

About my listings:

I let my pictures do most of the talking.  I try to accurately photograph and describe my items, both the good and the bad.  I do not want anyone to be disappointed by finding a hidden flaw.  I’m a collector too and know how that feels.  I disclose any problems I see on an item in the description.  I occasionally overlook something, let me know and I will work something out with you.

I encourage questions about my items and I will send additional photos if needed.  Please get your answers before you bid.

I always attempt to communicate but will report non-paying buyers after 7 days.  If you need longer to pay, just let me know and we'll make arrangements.

Don’t use PayPal?  Just ask…

I will combine shipping on multiple items whenever possible.  If you win more than one item, please wait to pay.  I will send an invoice will the total within an hour or two of the auction's end.

I always allow free pick-up of items if you live in the area.

Unfortunately, Washington State buyers must pay sales tax.

I'm pretty easy with returns.  If it's because the item is not as described and I'll pay return shipping, any other reason and you pay return shipping.

I charge only the actual shipping cost.  If it ships for less than you paid, I will refund the difference.  The eBay shipping calculator is occasionally inaccurate, feel free to contact me if you have any shipping questions.

I aim for a perfect feedback score.  If you have any issues, please communicate with me first so we can work it out.
