2.7" Amazonite crystal sphere with stand. This 70mm sphere is carved from natural blue-green hued Amazonite mined in Madagascar banded with veins of Smoky Quartz. Amazonite is a variety of microcline feldspar. It is a mineral of limited occurence, with Madagascar and Colorado well known localities. Studies suggest the blue-green color results from small quantities of lead and water in the feldspar. Includes a wood tripod stand, carved from a single piece of wood. Sphere weighs over 1 lb. A great Amazonite gemstone ball for display, collection, study, and metaphysical use.
