Winner of Best New Plant Variety in the 'Hardy Nursery Stock' category at The Grower of the Year Awards 2014! One of, if not the most, colourful hydrangea on the market, this stunning variety boasts rounded red flower heads with bright blue centres, each petal tinged with lime green. Repeat flowering meaning it will produce a second flush of flowers later in the season, and as with many hydrangea, produces various colours depending on the soil type. ‘Glam Rock’ is a stunner hardy shrub, perfect for borders and containers. Height and spread: 120cm (48").
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Hydrangea macrophylla prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively plant hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: Contact with hydrangea foliage may irritate the skin and eyes and all parts are harmful if eaten.
