This is an elegant, Substantial and quite functional covered serving dish. Footed design with a top handle that can be removed for storage purposes. It has a removable serving dish. Additionally the lid can be used as an additional serving dish when the handle is removed. It has a pierced metal bottom to pour hot water into to keep the dish warm. This dish is in good pre-owned condition with some signs of wear. One corner looks like it has been repaired or the silver plate has worn off (see photos) but this can be hidden if desired by facing the tray with that corner to the wall or by placing flowers/greenery in front of it on a double sided buffet. Perhaps it can be replated. The price reflects this issue. Needs polishing. See Photos. I have used this to make an elegant low centerpiece with flowers sitting in water. It is very heavy to ship.
