These two architectural bookplates are marked on the bottom with "Designed and Drawn by J. Starforth" and "W.H. McFarland Lithogr. Edinburg".  The only book by Starforth that I am sure used McFarland as the lithographer was "Designs For Villa Residences With Descriptions"  which was published in 1864. McFarland did 40 steel engravings for the book and these appear to be period.  They are Plates XVIII and XIX.   G-VG condition with edge and corner wear, especially at the top edge where there are numerous creases. Slight soiling.    I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we must use. Shipping is $2.95 in the U.S.
