3.4" Red Fire Quartz crystal sphere with stand. This 87mm sphere is carved from Fire Quartz, otherwise known as Hematoid Quartz crystal from Madagascar. The sphere features clear to white Quartz crystal with red Hematite inclusions. The inclusions and fractures to the stone can show a light sparkling appearance in areas, lending to its trade name Fire Quartz. The material is heated to intensify the red color in the iron content of the hematoid inclusions. Includes a wood tripod stand, carved from a single piece of wood. Sphere weighs over 2 lbs.
