                                                                                                        Note from the Producers

In 1986, we started The Preservation of the American Pioneer Crafts Series. Our goals are to promote an appreciation of our American heritage and educate through an entertaining format how to recreate either the products or the lifestyle from the 18th century.

The company was intended to be self-sustaining and self-perpetuating in that profits would serve to produce new videos. Additionally, we contribute to supporting featured artisans through direct commissions from sales.

Your purchase directly contributes to preserving certain positive aspects of our heritage, and helps the livelihood of some very talented individuals. In addition, you get a neat how-to DVD so you too can learn these skills! We sincerely appreciate our customers. You have become partners in our endeavor to educate and entertain viewers about colonial era crafts.

We have a wide selection of Survival and Bushcraft Books and DVDs in our specialized Artisan Ideas eBay store. Following is a small sample of our wide selection: “Camping Basics DVD”, “Primitive Knifemaking DVD”, “Knife Wound First Aid DVD”, “Gunshot Wound First Aid DVD”, “Tracking DVD”, “Spark Based Fire Starting DVD”, “Desert Survival DVD”.

IF YOU ARE PURCHASING MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ABOUT COMBINED SHIPPING!!  If you are going to buy more than one item from Artisan Ideas, we will combine them in the same pack to save you money on postage or shipping.

ALL YOU NEED TO DO: If you, as a buyer, are not sure how to combine items yourself when placing an order (honestly, it’s not as easy to do as it could be), we will gladly do it for you.

Simply order the items you want but do NOT pay for them immediately. We will combine them on the same invoice and send it to you with the correct postage or UPS shipping amount.

TELL US BY E-MAIL IF YOU WANT TO USE STANDARD MAIL OR UPS: Standard Mail (aka Media Mail) is more economic but slower, taking sometimes up to 3 weeks, but usually only 2 or less. UPS (domestic orders only) is faster but more expensive. For domestic orders, please tell us your shipping preference by e-mail right after you order (that is, whether you prefer delivery by standard mail or UPS).

We recommend UPS for orders you want in 7 business days (sometimes less) and for orders worth more than $120.00.

FOREIGN ORDERS: For foreign orders we use either Global Priority Envelopes for small books and DVDs, or Global Priority Boxes for larger books and mixed orders. We will measure and weigh your order to determine if we must ship in an envelope or box. For foreign orders it is not necessary for you to contact us about a shipping preference. Use the same procedure as above; order first and pay after you receive our invoice. Thanks!!

CONTACT ME: Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions and also to tell me your shipping preference. I’m Jim, the owner of ArtisanIdeas.
