The Island Years contains expanded versions of the studio albums Teenage Depression (1976), Life On the Line (1977), and Thriller (1979) plus BBC Sessions, BBC In Concert and Rods Fan Club LP. Eddie and the Hot Rods are a pub rock band from Essex founded in 1975. They are best known for their 1977 UK top ten hit "Do Anything You Wanna Do".
