I am thrilled to present this wonderful Antique c.1860 Victorian Picturial Chromolithograph Oversized Fan featuring a Garden landscape with four Lovely Ladies in full afternoon Gowns being pushed by hand by two Young Gentlemen suitors on a unusual Victorian Merry Go Round /See Saw all on a beautiful summer's day. Lovely See Saw at center features a Putti/Cupid type face holding a garland decoration. Acorn finial on top of see saw means "Welcome". Paper is colorful and has little to no wear, I count 10 locations where light comes through, all very tiny, minor. Paper is 99.8% all there. Back is very clean, brick red color. Wooden blades of fan appear to be splint oak to me. Over the past 150 years this item was stored in a location where a happy termite had a wonderful meal, I will not say this takes away from the charm, it only adds to the story! The last outside blade on the far right has the worst of it, bottom not connected, completely hollow, but strong and well attached and clean to the paper, doesnot effect opening to display. The second blade is not attached, also, the rest of the fan blades are securely attached to the original brass loop at botoom. Fan is still very solid and sturdy and can be held and displayed. Fan is 14" long, when spread out, that measures 28" of gorgeous 19th Century Artwork. This piece is well worth framing and display. Very Rare! I used a spot light for the photos, true colors are seen in the third close up photo below best. Shipping will be $8.95 US Mail only, in the continent US only, all other locations will be different. If you have questions ASK, ASK, ASK! Payment is expected within 10 days of auction closing. Shipping fees are non refundable. Thanks for looking!
