Now almost impossible to find, especially in good condition, this is the 110 year old 4 January 1913 London-published issue of The Sphere (oversize 16 3/4 " x 12"--weighs about a pound). Edited by Clement Shorter, this is an early issue of the weekly. Bit of edge wear/soil to outside paper wrappers. Clean text with a tad of rusting about the staples. A good copy.

I'd send this in-between stiff cardboard for maximum protection.

Loaded with full page and other photographs, this number features a new poem, illustrated in color, by Thomas Hardy called "The Bird-Catcher's Boy" (see photo #4); also, a nice full-page photo of Spanish King Alfonso (see photo #7); of the British Hendon Aerodrome (see photo #6); and, many other photos, stories, news of the day, and for the New Year. See photos.
