This piece of vintage jewelry is an incredible necklace done in an assortment of materials. Main beads of necklace are handcrafted and hand decorated tube beads. I am not certain of the material, possibly stone or ceramic. Each is slightly different and is hand painted/enameled in blue, green, white, and reddish peach. There are two large black mottled round ceramic beads with silvertone cups at each end. There are four small green moonglow beads, 7 small seeds or wooden beads, 2 lovely clear art glass drum beads with rainbow swirls and a green foil center, and goldtone corrugated beads. There are two fabulous tube shaped beads of old peachy pink angel skin coral. At the ends are small gray seed beads which form a loop for fastening. The other end of the fastener is a brass Chinese double dragon/zodiac lucky charm. One side depicts the Chinese zodiac with a swastika in the center. (The swastika is a very old Asian symbol, in use for at least 12,000 years and predates the Nazi hate symbol.) The other side of the charm portrays two lucky Chinese dragons with Chinese characters down the center. There is also a gray seed bead dangle at the loop which ends in a French 5 centime coin. Coin has been drilled through the date but I believe it was minted in the 1920s and 30s. Stunning and collectible piece is in excellent vintage condition. Comes in gift box.
