Fingersafe® MK1A is a finger pinch protector guard that prevents fingers from being pinched, crushed or AMPUTATED at the hinged end of doors. Each year it is estimated there are nearly 300,000 door-related finger injuries worldwide. Many include serious injuries such as broken bones and amputation. The world's only proven door safety product that allows a 180 degree opening with a concertina® shape which protects, guards and shields from accidents and injuries involving fingers or hands being trapped or crushed in the hinged sides of opening and closing doors. Many try, but no other company puts out the quality products that Fingersafe® has for over 20 years. Don't let the "no screws" pitch fool you as adhesives will deteriorate in time. Our quality product has been tried and tested and with proper installation will last a lifetime. Complete protection is achieved by fitting to full length of door and it is for this reason, we do not recommend cutting to fit only half a door.

The Fingersafe® MK1A is suitable for doors in wood, aluminium, metal, stainless steel and crittal, Allowing a full 180 degrees on butt hung doors to a maximum opening of 12.5cm (5in).

They are supplied in 2032mm lengths, however they can be cut to size and are easily installed.

Resistant to UV light, Fingersafe® is designed for interior or exterior use. Specific uses include schools and other educational facilities, childcare and healthcare centres, homes for the elderly and infirm as well as residential use. It is commercially specified for restaurants, fast food outlets, as well as oil rigs and government and military buildings. BIM objects available on our website

Different doors require different types of finger protection. For example: a uPVC door, more often than not, requires a Fingersafe® MK1C or MK1C (special), as does a bi-fold door.

Fingersafe® also supply hinge guards for gates, pivot and industrial doors.
