Carl Zeiss Jena Prakticar f=50mm 1:2.8 MC lens in Excellent+ condition, B mount (Praktica PB Bayonnet), please see photos, very usable lens, focus and aperture works fine, no signs of tampering with lens rings, looks all original Very Rare Prototype Multicoated lens with a low 4 digit serial number of ‘1478', it dosen’t seem this lens ever made it to full production after first prototype run of the then new bayonnet PB system production, and dosen’t appear in brochures, 4 digit serial number possible indicates lens was made in 1979?? Made in German Democratic Republic by the VEB Carl Zeiss Jena company and is not a rebranded Pentacon/Meyer lens, front and rear caps supplied This lens was based on the previous generation M42 screw mount 50mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss Tessar DDR lens, this lens even has the same aperture as that lens going down to f/22, even though ring markings stop at f/16 as with other 50mm Prakticar PB lenses, you can keep rotating aperture ring a few more clicks past 16 and aperture keeps stopping down, this is also the only 50mm Tessar based lens ever to receive Multi-Coating
Lens has been tested and all works fine,
Suitable for all Praktica or Carl Zeiss Jenaflex SLR cameras that have the PB (Pratica Bayonet) mount, would also be suitable for other cameras, including digital if you have a suitable adapter
