Hardback with dustwrapper.

Book is close to near fine. Dustwrapper VG, main panels bright and clean. Top edge creased and with small nicks including an approx. half inch closed tear to front panel near juncture with spine. A little loss to head of spine, a little whitening rear to tail of spine.

Features blue open wing ladybird logos to end papers and black open wing ladybird logo to recto of fep. This dates the book to 1961 or earlier. This is further substantiated by a lightly pencilled gift inscription also dated 1961, although I have since managed to erase this neatly to leave no trace.

Copyright page states only "First published 1958".
