A slender 9 3/8 inch tall cylinder-shaped light TURQUOISE AQUA MARINE colored antique  KANANGA - COLOGNE - FLORIDA WATER bottle.  This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it back to the 1800's, well over ONE CENTURY OLD, a good 100 years old + PLUS.

KANANGA / FLORIDA WATER if you google the word 'Kananga', it comes up right along with Florida Water.   This is a foreign made Florida Water type bottle, made for and imported into the U.S. market and it is the same old traditional 'Florida Water' shape, a tall slender aqua cylinder bottle with a long neck and tapered top.  Florida water bottles come with many different embossings on them, different colors, different sizes, and collecting them is a category of bottle collecting all on it's own.  Florida Water is a cologne or, is simply known as 'Cologne Water' and in this description I use "Florida" water interchangeably used with Kananga water.   The name refers to the fabled Fountain of Youth, which according to legend, was said to be located in Florida.   Florida water was mainly popular in the 1800's and popularity died out in the early 20th Century.  It had been used by both women and men alike.  For example, even baseball teams used Florida Water as a refresher during the hot summer baseball season, where they would dip wet cloth in water, douse it with Florida Water, and applying it to pulse points for a cooling effect to the skin and body.  Likewise women would use Florida Water as even Victorian era almanacs warned young women against the "offensive" impression made by a strong perfume, but Florida Water was recommended in place.  Also Barber shops used Florida Water as a cologne and aftershave as it was also noted to be a skin toner or bracer, and it was also added to the bath water.   Though Florida Water is much a product of the past, it is still in use today, in similar style bottles, much like this example here but put into new machine made screw top bottles.  Note the pictures on the label of this one!   Very COLORFUL and probably telling a story as the Asian figures on the label are playing it out.  This is a hard to find Florida Water to begin with and it is considered a SUPER RARE bottle to find with the original paper labels still intact!   Think of it, this bottle is well over a century old but it survived the elements of time with the delicate paper label, not only intact, but with vivid coloring and finely illustrated.  The person that we got this bottle from said that it had been her mothers before hers, and that it was passed down from her Great Great Grandmother, in an old cargo style trunk with other family heirlooms.   With paper label intact it could be unique; one-of-a-kind antique bottle, check it out!
