It shows an impressive Artwork work of "BALMORAL BEACH in SYDNEY". It shows a view from the Balmoral Beach looking towards the North Head, of Sydney Harbour. A Lovely Scene.

It is a very interesting work, by this well known Artist. It is framed and ready to hang, but is unglazed..

WATKINS, John Samuel; (1866 – 1942), British/Australia, Art Teacher and Artist. Born at Wolverhampton, UK, he studied at the Dudley Art School, in Birmingham UK. He arrived in Australia in 1882, and soon after studied at Julian Ashton Art School, under A.J. Daplyn, and Frank Mahoney. He started his own Art School at 88 King Street Sydney above Julian Ashton Art School, and over 40 years had taught over 5000 students, many who have now become well known Australian Artists. Foundation Member of the New South Wales Art Society, and a Member of the Royal Art Society of NSW, and also a Trustee of the Art Gallery of NSW 1932 – 42. He studied at the South Kensington Art School, London, the RAS School Sydney, and at Academie Colarossi in Paris. He has won many Awards for his Art, which is well Represented in most Major Gallery Collections around Australia.

It is in Excellent Condition, and measures, 14 1/4  inch by 10 1/4 inch, (36.2cm x 26.0cm). (Image size). The frame is 22 1/2 inch by 18 3/4 inch, (57.2cm x 47.6cm).Note it is framed but NO GLASS.
