DESCRIPTION

The first volume being an Illustrated Historical Survey, and the second being a Dictionary of Factories, Artists, Technical Terms, Et Cetera.

The Survey contains 24 colour plates and 192 monochrome plates; collated, complete. The Dictionary contains vignette letter illustrations throughout.

Tucked into the Survey is a newspaper clipping of Honey's obituary, commenting on his life and work after his death at the age of 67.


CONDITION

In green cloth bindings with gilt lion design detail to front boards, and red and gilt title detailing to the spines; with unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, very smart with some shelfwear; minor bumping and fading to the extremities, and a few marks. The dustwrappers are bright with some closed tears and loss. The rear hinge on the Dictionary is strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, only the final page and rear free endpaper in the Dictionary loosening. The pages of both volumes are bright and clean, with only scattered spotting.
