DESCRIPTION

Very scarce proof copy.

With a gift inscription to the recto of the half title reading 'Michael Tresillian from Wallace Nichols'. The work also contains ink annotation throughout in the same hand. The annotations include grammatical corrections and changes to syntax.

With charming vignette illustrations throughout by Douglas Bisset.

This charming work of juvenile fiction is the sequel to Nichol's work The Green Package Mystery.


CONDITION

In the original paper wraps. Externally worn with front of wrap and first two leaves detached but present. Backstrip is lacking. Rear board is held by cords only and may detach with further handling. Internally generally firmly bound although strained in places. Pages generally bright and clean with just marginal age toning due to paper used. Ink annotations throughout.
