THE AIR BUTTON
The bigger button on the bass keyboard is called the air button. Press it to open and close the bellows without making any sounds.

The HOHNER XS was developed for children from four to seven years of age so we made it 60 percent lighter than a traditional accordion. It covers the following range: treble side B3–G5 and three bass rows: F2–A2.

Since we needed to do more than just shrink an accordion to a child’s size, we partnered with academics, music educators, and designers to develop the HOHNER XS. Its benefits: easy fastening with the Click ’n Play straps and a treble board with an ergonomically adjusted angle.

JUST IN CASE
The accordion is no Stradivarius. If something happens to one of these famed string instruments, it means more than just the chords being out of tune. By contrast, the HOHNER XS can stand up to quite a bit because we opted for a robust plastic housing and an equally stable internal design when manufacturing this product.

As a Father of a 4 year old Girl, I'm super-excited for the release of this instrument! Finally, a quality instrument that is Made in Germany and affordable. The Hohner XS is targeted towards kids ages 4 to 7 - Search You Tube for "Hohner XS" as Hohner has many short videos.
I need to write this further explanation in June 2020 after selling a few of these models:
This is NOT an accordion for a Full-Sized Adults -- We've had returns from Full-Sized Adults thinking they could play this accordion. Again, it is geared towards kids ages 4 to 7, per the Hohner website. Adults will find the "key travel" (meaning how you get around on this instrument) on this accordion to be frustratingly compact with the size of the piano keys being smaller than the Adult's fingers and the distance between the bass buttons is also very compact.
I will soon get measurements of the piano keys and distance between buttons - If a very petite Adult wants to buy it, they can at their own risk. Thanks!

Printed music such as books and sheet music, videotapes, DVD's, Sample Libraries, Style Disks, Sound Expansion Boards, Sound Cards, and Software or Recording Media of any kind (which may also include hardware bundled with software) cannot be returned once opened due to copyright law. Disposable items such as Drum heads, Drumsticks, Instrument care Products, Cleaning supplies Tubes, Strings, Rosin, etc. because they are disposable items.
