You can also convert pierced earring Posts to Clip on earrings by removing the half drilled bead or pearl from the post and then glue or screw it onto this lovely clip-on earring part.   Or, just make a brand new pair of clip-ons.  20 pieces of this quality earring finding will make 10 pair of earrings.  The part is 16mm Tall x 8mm Deep with a 5mm blank bead cup setting and a 4mm screw prong.  It's for setting pearls, gemstones, or crystals that have a single hole drilled into one side for setting. You can also use a bead that is drilled all the way through, if you want to.

These new findings are possibly 40 years old. THEY DO NOT COME FROM CHINA. This is a basic clip on earring finding made by Marvella, an American company. It is gold plated, probably 14k. This clip does NPOT have the screw adjustment for the clip. You will have to make any desired pressure adjustments by bending the metal. The plating holds up extremely well.  I've had these for a long time in storage.  They were in a container that came from Italy 40 years ago which also contained Czech crystals, Italian rosaries, and Swarovski crystals.

I do not know the underneath metal content.  It could be brass, German Silver, or a combination alloy. It may even be steel.   What I do know is that these findings don't seem to tarnish or turn black.  They keep their beautiful shiny finish very well and they have held up for decades.
