I pick out all the small broken pieces so you are getting what you pay for. A small broken piece of a cherry pits does not retain heat.
The normal heating time that a cherry pit sack will hold heat for is between 20 to 30 minutes. Many factors comment supply such as the size of the heat sack you make the temperature of the room you’re in and even the thickness of the fabric.
If you want it to last longer you can make an additional case for the sack or wrap it in a towel or blanket. As with any non-electro heating pad, the moist heat is absolutely wonderful and will slowly return to room temperature over time.
Note: It is completely normal for a cherry pit to have a slight opening . These are natural cherry pits and the same cherry pits that I used to make all of my heat packs that many purchase and enjoy using.
Please note 🍒 THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. My cherry pits are organic, top quality, whole, (I make sure by hand) ……YES, I actually sort through these cherry pits by hand to pick out the broken pieces. Unbroken Cherry pits will hold the heat better, clean & naturally, beautifully fragrant. They smell earthy & lightly resemble the smell of cherry pie. No fragrance is added. This is their lovely natural scent.
Many cherry pits are available at tractor, and feed supply companies for very inexpensive prices, therefore can be sold cheap. If you are purchasing cherry pits for use in a smoker then that is fine. If you are using cherry pits to make heat packs, weighted blankets, and other items for your loved ones….Quality does indeed matter.
Important ****Although these cherry pits are organic, they are not meant for human consumption. I do not advise anyone to consume Cherry pits. Cherry pits like many other seeds contain cyanide & are poisonous if consumed. Please keep out of the reach of young children & pets.

Cherry pits/stones or cherry seeds as some call them are the most amazing little natural creation. They have a beautiful cherry earthy aroma and hold a nice, moist heat very well. My cherry pits have been boiled (to sterilize) and dried before packaging. They are from beautiful Michigan.
There are so many unique things that can be done with these cherry pits. I use approximately 2-2.5 Lbs in one of my handmade cherry pit sacks.
Cherry pits make excellent heat/cold sacks. These are organic and no chemicals are EVER used in the production of them.
You will also receive “ Heating & Care Instructions “ that you can pass on to whomever you are making one for as well as have it for yourself so your organic heating pad will last a long time.
I choose these for the majority of the thousands of heat sacks I sell. Unlike other heat packs, cherry pits are hand washable.
