Presenting a superb vintage Australian Pottery heart-shaped bowl masterfully handcrafted and signed by Laurie Fluss.
This fabulous piece has been crafted from fine strands of cream-toned pottery interlaced to simulate the weave of a basket. The delicate lattice work is exceptional and undoubtedly the work of a talented and very patient artist.
This superb piece has a heart-shaped form, with a solid woven heart-shaped base, fine diagonally overlayed lattice worked sides and rope plaid trim to the top.
Pieces of this artists work rarely come onto the market. Don't miss this chance to add to your collection.
SIZE: This piece stands approx 45mms tall and measures 130mms x 135mms in width.
CONDITION: This piece is presented in as found condition with losses to three of the individual fine strands. Two of the top strands and one of the underside strands have been damaged, with these losses clearly indicated in the images. The breaks in no way detract from the beauty of this finely crafted piece, which remains totally stable and still presents exceptionally well.
MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base "Laurie Fluss Handmade".
