This listing is for an antique deeply carved Chinese wood panel. The panel measures 8 by 10.5 inches. It is deeply and three dimensionally carved out of one piece of wood, 1.5" deep.
The panel is in its original painted and gilt decoration. The panel shows a landscape scene with 4 figures standing on what looks like a veranda and the grand tree that towers above them.
The carving is in overall excellent condition, with only some age appropriate darkening and minor wear to the gilt finish. This is a beautifully and masterfully made carving, very attractive and again quite old.
