L'US-1x2 est une interface audio USB idéale pour les débutants. Elle est compacte, légère, d'un prix économique, mais de haute qualité. Cette interface réunit une entrée micro et une entrée ligne/instrument, plus une entrée analogique stéréo asymétrique sur RCA/cinch et une sortie analogique asymétrique sur RCA/cinch. Elle permet d'enregistrer (ou d'envoyer en streaming sur Internet) des voix et un instrument, ou une source stéréo, ou d'archiver votre collection de cassettes stéréo, jusqu'au format 96 kHz / 24 bits, via n'importe quel logiciel de station de travail audio ou application d'enregistrement sous macOS, iOS ou Windows.

L'US-1x2 est équipée d'un préampli micro Tascam basé sur la technologie Ultra-HDDA, assurant un faible niveau de bruit de fond et un gain maximal de 57 dB. Parmi les autres fonctionnalités, citons une écoute directe sans latence, une sortie casque avec réglage de volume, des modes d'écoute d'entrée Mono et Stéréo, et un sélecteur Mute sur le panneau de contrôle logiciel. L'interface est livrée avec une licence pour Cubase LE (compatible Cubasis LE). De plus, l'interface peut fonctionner en mode autonome, pour des séances de travail ou de répétitions (alimentation externe nécessaire).
