What is EyePal - A Modern Peep Sight
EyePal enables you to simultaneously see the target and your bead/dot at the same time -  in focus.

Its made out of a static cling material that is easily placed on and off of reading, prescription and safety glasses — without marring the surface or leaving any residue.

Compact, lightweight and virtually indestructable, the EyePal is the ultimate addition to any shooter's kit.

Anyone who has trouble with "fuzzy"sight when aiming - where one or both the target or the shotgun bead/Foresight or red dot is out of focus.

The EyePal provides the open eye user with a small image where everything is in focus. This is particularly useful to shooters who have limited near vision but have good far vision.
 

How does EyePal work
Your eye "sees" a huge amount of visual , that includes, say, a target. As a shooter you are only interested in the target — the rest of the peripheral visual is not useful and not needed.

Using the EyePal helps you in 3 main ways -

• The EyePal aperture is small and provides maximum depth of focus
• The resulting EyePal image is a sight picture with sights and target at any distance in sharp focus. Many prescription glasses and contact lens neither effect nor distort the EyePal's image quality.
• The peripheral vision is obscured by the large black area of the EyePal, creating extra contrast for good sight and target acquisition

Does EyePal work with all types of glasses?
Yes, EyePal works with sunglasses, safety glasses, shooting glasses, prescription glasses, progressives and real bi-focals. Please note that glasses made of glass are not recommended for either safety or shooting glasses.

Can the EyePal be used with reading glasses?
Yes, the EyePal is specifically designed for those affected with presbyopia (limited near vision). Being far-sighted, they can already resolve the target in the distance. Using the EyePal, they can now acquire the sights of the shotgun at the same time.

Will the EyePal work with contacts?
A person using firearms and wearing contacts should always be wearing safety glasses at the range.Yes, you can adhere EyePal to your safety glasses while wearing contacts.

What about persons with astigmatism?
Most shooters with astigmatism get a prescription that allows a focused front rifle sight, a slightly de-focused rear sight and a target with adequate resolution. While its impossible to account for every scenario, experience shows that most astigmatism issues are resolved when using the EyePal.

In the shot on the left, (before) only the front sight is in focus. On the right Eyepal has been fitted and the results are amazing. This is from the Rifle version but the principle and results are the same.

Use with red dot sights wthat have fuzzy dots?
Credit to Charlie Summers of Eyepal who wrote this - Due to the refraction errors in the eyes and some Rxs, the dot itself is visualized as distorted much to the chagrin of the shooter. The principal reason for a red/green dot’s return as “defective” is the shooter needs to visit their optical provider to get an Rx.

However having tested my red dots for beam quality and determined that some refractions of the eye are still present even after getting a 6/6 (your money) or 20/20 Rx (USA) A point source of light is very difficult to visualize over a period of time, especially with refractive errors. However, an aperture helps immensely by removing refractions of the eye and also by producing depth of field.

What can I expect when using a handgun, rifle or bow
The aperture size requirements differ so there are specific kits for these. See in the shop or ask for the link.

Can persons with 20/20 vision use the EyePal?
Yes. You can easily mount the EyePal on your safety glasses to acquire a desired sight picture free of peripheral vision issues. We won't promise you "super vision" but you be the judge...

What about my "Dominant eye" or Cross Eye Dominance issues?
The EyePal provides the dominant eye with a sight picture with all elements in focus simultaneously. The EyePal also removes most of the unwanted peripheral vision and improves the contrast of the image. Note - If you have dominant eye cross vision issues get the EyePal Master kit. Using a Rifle and Handgun aperture, one on each glasses lens has been shown to correct cross eye dominance! Or use the Shotgun kit in conjunction with an Easyhit bead.

I'm a leftie, how do I position the EyePal?
For the rifle shooter, place the EyePal on the left lens near the bridge of the glasses.
