Here is a Beautiful pair polished Burl Wood Bookends, that were quite popular, and could be found in the study or many an office in the the middle of the last century (1950-60s).
The polishing on this set of book ends does a wonderful job of highlighting the beauty of the woods grain. We love the way the grain pattern lines up along the separation cut, along the top.
