Wonderful RARE ceramic stone (stoneware) composite PAIR of CUDDLING CATS sculpture designed by John Seymour. It is signed SEY and dated '85(1985). Seymour was known for his brown pottery animal statues and produced them during the 1980's. 

Seymour crafted in his Connecticut studio and has been widely exhibited along with his works in galleries throughout the United States and abroad. 

His sculptures were decorated in earth and rock hues to enhance the stone like quality. 

Seymour studied at the Royal Hungarian Poly Institute, New York University, the School of Visual Arts and Greenwich House Pottery School.

Beautiful Condition with no cracks or breaks. There are some white scuff marks normal for 35 year old piece.

This extra large double size of cuddling sleeping cats measures apx 11" x 10" long x 6 1/2" tall.
