EcoSlurps Bamboo Cotton Buds - Supporting Reforestation Whilst Reducing Single Use Plastic Pollution!

With an estimated 1.5 million tonnes of plastic in our oceans and around 100,000 sea mammals dying every year from either eating or getting tangled in plastic waste, the Government has announced a ban on plastic cotton buds from being sold in the UK from 2020. EcoSlurps is a British company committed to providing sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics while also supporting reforestation projects around the world. For every box of 500 bamboo cotton buds that we sell, we pledge to plant a tree through our partnership with the non-profit organisation OneTreePlanted. Unlike plastic swabs and q tips, our bamboo wooden handle q-tips are compost friendly. Each bamboo cotton bud measures 7.25cm in length with a generous dual cotton antibacterial head which is perfect for those with sensitive skin. Each swab end remains strong, durable and vigilant when wet and are stored in a large plastic free kraft cardboard box. Our cotton wool swab ends are made of natural organic cotton and the sticks are made from sustainably sourced Moso Bamboo which can grow by over 1 meter per day. This type of sustainably sourced bamboo is also not eaten by Pandas, so rest assured a Panda has not gone hungry when you invest in our Bamboo Cotton Buds! EcoSlurps wooden Cotton Buds are traditionally used for safely cleaning ear wax out of ears, but due to their antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties, they are also used for oral care, makeup application or removal, skin care, and anywhere you need precise cleaning for example on keyboards, mobile phones or keys.

Supporting Reforestation - Every Day We Plant Trees!

Our mission is to become one of the first carbon positive eco gift businesses in the world. Every day we pledge to plant trees with our not for profit reforestation partners OneTreePlanted. By planting trees we offset the carbon footprint created in bringing our eco products to market while also helping to rebuild ecosystems impacted by deforestation around the world in places like the Amazon rainforest, Australia, and here in the UK.

Why tress? Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree!

Thanks to your support EcoSlurps will pledge to plant trees all over the world as part of our reforestation program with One Tree Planted.
