We offer for your consideration this Vintage electric Copper Kettle Humidifier.
This is kind of a mystery item. It carries the makers plaque that reads "Dowsings"
But there little or no information about the company. We do know that they may have made electric tailors Irons, and even small industrial dishwashing units.
But this electric Copper Kettle humidifier looks like something from a Steam Punks dream.
Just add a few more copper tubing coils, a gauge or two, and BAM !
But on a more serious note, we were told this humidifier may have seen service in hospital, to help to ease patients breathing. Unfortunately the cord that came with the unit was frayed and too dangerous to use.
This copper kettle has a turned wood handle mounted on brass tangs, all the attached hardware looks to be brass, the lid dogs, & water level tube.
This kettle is approximately 8 5/8 inches in diameter, 12 1/4 inches tall. The steam wand is 20 inches long. The weight is approximately 6 pounds.
Condition- As previously mentioned the cord is not included for safety reasons. The small side knobs on one of the lid dogs are missing, and one of feet on the bottom is loose.
All these issues can be repaired.
So, if you are a collector of vintage/arcane hospital equipment, or if you are fitting out your own Steampunk Mad Scientist laboratory, you might want to include this humidifier in your inventory.
