Singaporean heartthrob Leon Jay Williams (movie Jump, idol drama My Lucky Star) and Shanghai actress Crystal Huang (Just Another Pandora's Box) star hand in hand in the hit 2008 period comedy Almost Perfect. Zhu Xiaotian (Leon Jay Williams) aspires to be a master carpenter, even though he is the crown prince of the Ming Empire. To fulfill his dream, he sneaks out of the palace to find the "Carpentry Bible" authored by the legendary Lu Ban. In the guise of a civilian, Zhu meets kung fu girl Tang Xiaodie (Crystal Huang), and together they embark on a quest for the elusive tome. In fact, the book contains directions to a secret treasure buried in the royal catacombs, hence many people are also looking for it. Meanwhile, imperial enforcer Hong Gaitian (Liu Hua) mistakes Zhu and Tang for a couple of tomb raiders, and takes them on a relentless pursuit...

Synopsis :

Mr. LAUGHING SKY is the prince of Ming Dynasty who is very interested in woodcraft. His wish is to become a top carpenter just like the legendary craftsman "Mr. Lu Pan" so he escapes from the palace in secret to search for a celebrated book written by Mr. LU PAN on the lost skills of woodcraft. However, according to rumours, this book carries an evil omen and anyone who fays his hands on the book will have very bad fortune.

On his way, LAUGHING SKY enters a brothel and encounters a very handsome guy called BUTTERFLY. With the help of BUTTERFLY, LAUGHING SKY finds Mr. KONG, the dying disciple of Mr. LU PAN in the jail. Before Mr. KONG inhales his last breath, he discloses a secret to LAUGHING SKY and BUTTERFLY...

Since then, they get involved in a series of troubles with the royal court special agent, the owner and bartender of the brothel as well as the mayor's daughter in Dragon Gate town. An adventure of chase an descpae, alongside with a complicated love triangle begins....
