A set of four Blacksmith Hand Forged cast iron strap hinges (no pintles). Different lengths and thicknesses - non matching - see description for details. 

These early hand forged strap hinges are all in very good condition but with a somewhat rough, crude and unfinished look. They all have a coating of rust.

From left to right in the first photo: 

No.1 - this strap hinge is 18 1/4" long, 1 3/8" wide, is 1/4" thick at the start and tapers down to 1/8" thick at the tip, the hole for the pintle is turned up on end. It has a pitted look. 

No.2 - this one is 22" long, 1 3/4" wide tapering down to 1" wide, 3/8" thick tapers down to 1/4" thick. It looks like the tip is split but the blacksmith probably didn't do a good job of closing the loop. 

No.3 - this one is 22" long, 1 3/4" wide tapering down to 1" wide. 

No.4 - this one is 16 5/8" long, 1 1/2" wide tapering down to 1" wide, 1/4" thick tapers down to 3/16" thick. The tip has a nice curve or loop on the end.  

The strap hinges have a combined weight of approx. 9 pounds.
