ITEM DESCRIPTION
Item Description
Up for your consideration is a massive Raku art pottery vase by the renowned Mid-Century ceramicist Tony Evans (California). This vintage piece was made c. 1980, and is signed on the underside. It was made with a hole at the bottom so it could be used as a planter, but it is covered up by the artists felt bottom. This is the largest vase I have ever seen from him.
The piece measures 27" tall, and 16" wide. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition, with some light age-typical surface wear. There are no chips, cracks, or restorations. There is a small black dot on the rim (as made).
