DESCRIPTION

A very scarce work.

ESTC citation number N3911.

A rare set of rules for John Wesley's Methodist societies.

Wesley's societies were Methodist churches, where people could visit and be guided in their prayers and lives.

The societies were founded by John Wesley in 1739, and became the dominant form of the independent Methodist movement. Wesley was the leader of a revival movement in the Church of England, which was known as Methodism.

This rule book is intended for the societies in London, Bristol, Kingswood, and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, and more.

The rules for band societies is included in this work. The bands were what the Fetter Lane Society were divided into.
