Measure the cylinder length | ||
|
The cylinder length is directly dependent on the door thickness plus the hardware thickness. You can choose from many different cylinder lengths. Measuring the two important cylinder dimensions is very easy. Proceed as shown in the illustration. The center of the fastening screw for the cylinder is always measured. You need to know the distance from the cylinder to the door handle when buying a new fitting. It is either 72 mm or 92 mm. |
