In the original blue quarter roan, maroon cloth sides. With the spines panelled in gilt, large arabesque panels gilt to sides, onlaid turquoise cabochons to spines and covers.

Written by the noted Egyptologist and discoverer of the Ebers Papyrus, Georg Ebers. Ebers is credited with popularising Egyptian lore through his historical romances. This is a non-fiction descriptive work which was issued in English as well.

CONDITION
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
